Kody Evans Racing Wraps Up 2019 Season in World Finals

Kody Evans Racing (KER) entered their final two races of the 2019 season from November 7-9 in the annual 'World Finals' at the pristine Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina. Following World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series qualifying on Thursday at the 4/10-mile speedplant, the first of two $12,000 to win programs took center stage in front of a packed Charlotte crowd on Friday night. Kody Evans, who recently announced his intentions on vying for 2020 Rookie of the Year honors on the national tour, finished a strong fourth in his loaded heat race before placing sixth in his B-Main, which unfortunately kept him out of the 50-lap headliner. In Saturday's finale, Kody wound up sixth in his heat race and fifth in his B-Main, but was once again unfortunately not able to make the start in the 50-lapper. Evans Enters $100k Dirt Track World Championship at PRP

The #4G team loaded up and ventured to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on October 18-19 for the 39th edition of the 'Dirt Track World Championship.' Kody Evans clicked off the twentieth fastest lap in Group B during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying on Friday night before advancing to sixth in his stacked heat race. Following a ninth place effort in Saturday's consolation race, Kody wound up capping off the weekend with a twenty-first place performance in the $3,000 to win 'Jim Dunn Memorial' for non-qualifiers. Unfortunately, the Camden, Ohio ace was unable to transfer into the 100-lap, $100,000 to win DTWC, which was ultimately won by Brandon Sheppard. Kody Evans Unfortunately Rained Out Prior to Feature at Moler

Kody Evans Racing (KER) ventured to Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio on Friday evening, October 11 for the track's 'Championship Bash.' The Super Late Models were the headliner for the unsanctioned program, as they were scheduled to race for a $5,000 paycheck. Kody Evans placed fourth in his stacked heat race to earn the inside of the sixth row for the start of the 32-lap main event. Evans Dips South to Commonwealth of Kentucky for Double-Dip

Kody Evans and his #4G team traveled south to the Commonwealth of Kentucky for a pair of special events at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky and Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on October 4-5. On Friday night in his first-ever visit to Ponderosa for the $5,000 to win 'Fall Classic,' Kody timed in seventh quickest during qualifying, ran fifth in his heat race, and later wound up thirteenth in the final finishing order of the unsanctioned main event. At Florence on Saturday evening in the track's Season Championship program, which boasted a $2,000 top prize, Kody won his heat race and led early in the 30-lap feature. Kody Evans Battles Back to Land on Podium at Florence!

After making repairs to the #4G Longhorn Chassis following the 'World 100' weekend, Kody Evans Racing (KER) returned to action on Saturday night, September 28 at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. Kody Evans started last in his heat race and unfortunately ran over something on the racetrack during the prelim, which broke multiple parts underneath the rear-end of his machine. Following the seventh place finish and busy work by the crew to make more repairs, Kody rolled off from the inside of the eighth row in the $1,200 to win weekly feature event. The Camden, Ohio ace was on the gas from the drop of the green flag in the 30-lapper and blasted all the way up to second before settling for a third place podium effort behind only victor Jared Bailey and runner-up David Webb! Evans Advances into World 100 Prelims at Eldora Speedway

The Kody Evans Racing (KER) team invaded the hallowed ground of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from September 5-7 for the 49th edition of the fabled 'World 100.' The three-day crown jewel extravaganza in the Buckeye State started with a pair of $10,000 to win Twin 25 preliminary programs. On Thursday evening in the weekend lid lifter, Kody Evans ran sixth in his heat race, won his B-Main, and later placed twenty-second in the final finishing order of the 25-lap sprint. At the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant on Friday night, Kody grabbed the fourth transfer spot through his heat race, but was unfortunately caught up in a hard wreck on lap 11 that dropped him to twenty-fourth at the pay window.

A whopping $52,000 top prize was then up for grabs at the "Big E" on Saturday, as a record crowd gathered to witness the culmination of the annual 'World 100.' Due to the damage inflicted to his Longhorn Chassis in Friday's wreck, Kody was forced to scratch from the 'World 100' and was not able to vie for the coveted starting position in the 100-lap headliner. Kody Evans Nabs Top Ten in FREE Night in the Dirt at Florence

Next up on the racing calendar for the #4G team was a visit to Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday, August 24 for the track's annual 'FREE Night in the Dirt.' The weekly program paid $1,200 to the winner of the Super Late Model portion of the show. Kody Evans ran second in his heat race in preliminary action and later rolled off from the inside of the fourth row in the 30-lap headliner. After sliding back to about fifteenth in the running order, Kody battled back to salvage a steady seventh place effort. Evans Retires Early in Annual Ike Moler Memorial at MRP...

Kody Evans and his #4G team rolled into Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio on Friday evening, August 16 to compete in the annual running of the 'Ike Moler Memorial.' The unsanctioned Super Late Model battle at MRP drew a solid field of competitors to vie for the $5,000 payday. Kody clicked off the eighth quickest lap overall during the qualifying session prior to running second in his heat race. After starting the 50-lap headliner from the inside of the sixth row, Kody was racing hard for a top ten finish when he opted to retire his ill-handling racecar. KER Back at Florence to Compete in $50k North/South 100

The Kody Evans Racing (KER) team traveled to Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on August 9-10 for the 37th Annual 'North/South 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again presided over the weekend at the Cincinnati-area venue and 53 competitors signed into the pit area for the crown jewel spectacular.

On Friday night during the double set of qualifying heat races, Kody Evans placed fifth in his first heat race and ninth in his final prelim of the evening. The #4G team wound up opting to sit out Saturday's portion of the program and Kody was not able to advance into the 'North/South 100,' which was won by $50,000 victor Chris Madden. Evans Earns Third Victory of 2019 Saturday at Florence Speedway!

After leaving Fairbury (IL) Speedway following a twelfth place showing in Friday's $2,500 to win preliminary feature event for the 'Prairie Dirt Classic,' Kody Evans made the long trek back home and then to Florence Speedway on Saturday night, July 27. The miles logged were well worth it, as Kody emerged victorious in the weekly Super Late Model program at the Union, Kentucky facility to lay claim to his third feature win of 2019. Kody won his heat race in preliminary action and later led all 30 circuits in the headliner to pocket the $1,200 top prize ahead of Robby Hensley, Josh Rice, Trevor Landrum, and Jesse Lay!
