Late Flat
Tire Dooms Evans at Florence Speedway
(June
30, 2024) The #4G team was in the pit area on Saturday,
June 29 at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. The Northern All
Stars Late Model Dirt Series (NALMS) presided over the action and
a $5,000 payday was up for grabs. Following a long rain delay, Kody
Evans stopped the clock eighth fastest overall during qualifying
prior to securing a heat race triumph. After a strong second place
finish in the fast dash, Kody rolled off from the outside of the
front row in the 40-lap main event.
The Camden, Ohio ace then jumped the cushion at the
start of the race and fell all the way back to eleventh in the running
order before making a charge back through the talented field. In
the waning laps, Kody was battling for the runner-up spot before
a flat right rear tire relegated him to a disappointing seventeenth
place showing. Complete results from last night at the Cincinnati-area
venue can be found online at www.florencespeedway.com.

Kody Evans
Tackles Dirt Late Model Dream
(June
9, 2024) The Kody Evans Racing (KER) team made their way
to the hallowed high-banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio
from June 6-8 for the 30th Annual ‘Dirt Late Model Dream.’
The lucrative weekend kicked off with a split-field, preliminary
program on Thursday night, which shelled out a $25,000 first place
prize. Kody Evans timed in nineteenth quickest in Group A during
qualifying prior to finishing thirteenth in his heat race. The Camden,
Ohio ace then opted to scratch from his B-Main and unfortunately
also missed out on the 50-lap main event.
After watching Friday’s prelim at the “Big E,”
the #4G team vied for the whopping $100,030 payday in front of a
huge grandstand crowd on Saturday evening. Kody advanced to eleventh
in his loaded heat race and later ran sixteenth in his B-Main. Those
efforts were not able to transfer him into the 100-lap crown jewel
headliner, but the team made large gains in speed throughout their
stint at the 1/2-mile speedplant. Complete results from the entire
‘Dirt Late Model Dream’ weekend can be found online
